سعيد بن عبد البيروتي حكى عنه سعيد بن محمد قاضي بيروت أخبرنا أبو القاسم بن السمرقندي أنا أبو القاسم بن مسعدة أنا حمزة بن يوسف أنا أبو أحمد بن عدي قال سمعت إبراهيم بن إسحاق السمرقندي بصري يقول سمعت سعد بن محمد البيروتي يقول سمعت سعيد بن عبد العزيز البيروتي يقول كان عندنا قاض قال للناس احلقوا لحاكم فإنها نبتت على الضلالة حتى تنبت على الطاعة قال فحمل الناس كلهم على حلق اللحا فكنت لا تلقى أحدا إلا محلوق اللحية ٢٥١٦ -
