سعيد بن سليمان بن عتاب حكى عنه أبو بكر أحمد بن المعلى الأسدي حكاية في أخبار أبي العميطر قرأت بخط أبي الحسين الرازي حدثني محمد بن أحمد بن غزوان نا أحمد بن المعلى نا سعيد بن سليمان بن عتاب قال كان الركيبي يأخذ البيعة لأبي العميطر على الناس في الأسواق وكان يدور على منازل أهل دمشق فمن خرج إليه أخذ عليه البيعة ومن لم يخرج يقول يا غلام سمر بابه واشمت به جاره٢٤٨٥ -
