    دينار بن عبد الله بن زاذا (١) ابن عم الفضل والحسن ابني سهل بن راد العروح ولي إمرة دمشق في خلافة المعتصم ولم تطل مدته قرأت بخط أبي الحسين الرازي حدثني بكر بن عبد الله بن حبيب قال قال علي بن حرب وفي سنة خمس وعشرين ومائتين ولى المعتصم بالله دينار بن عبد الله دمشق فأقام بها أيام ثم عزل وولي البحر وولي مكانه محمد بن الجهم الشامي ثم ولي برقة فقتل بها ذكر أبو حسان الحسن بن عثمان الزيادي أن دينارا مات ببرقة سنة إحدى وثلاثين ومائتين وهو ابن سبع وسبعين سنة وذكر أبو الحسن محمد بن أحمد بن القواس الوراق أنه مات للنصف من جمادى الآخرة سنة ثلاثين ومائتين "
