الحكم بن ضبعان بن روح بن زنباع الجذامي من أهل فلسطين غلب عليها حين هرب مروان بن محمد من جيوش بني العباس ولم يمكنه المقام بها وتابع عبد الله بن علي فلما قتل مروان أرسل صالح بن علي أبا عون عبد الملك بن يزيد ومحمد بن الأشعث الخزاعي إلى الحكم بن ضبعان فهرب إلى بعلبك فدل عليه فأخذ فبعث به عبد الوهاب بن إبراهيم الإمام أمير دمشق إلى صالح بن علي فقتله ذكر ذلك أبو محمد عبد الله بن سعد القطربلي فيما حكاه عن غيره ونقلته من خطه١٦٩٠ -
