    الحسن بن يحيى بن كلثوم من جند دمشق حكى عن رافع بن الليث بن نصر بن سيار حكى عنه عبد الرحمن بن صاعد بن عبد الرحمن قرأت بخط أبي الحسين الرازي حدثني محمد بن أحمد بن غزوان نا أحمد بن المعلى نا عبد الرحمن بن صاعد قال سمعت الحسن بن يحيى بن كلثوم يقول كنا محاصري رافع بن الليث بن نصر بن سيار بسمرقند وهارون الرشيد مقيم بطوس فاشرف علينا رابع يوم فقال يا أهل دمشق إن هذا الرجل ميت يعني هارون وسيخرج عليكم بعد موته رجل من ولد أبي سفيان فيخلفكم في أهاليكم بكل ما تكرهون فلما مات الرشيد انصرفنا فما وصلنا إلى بغداد تى قيل لنا إن أبا لقميطر (٢) قد خرج فصرنا إلى دمشق فوجدناه قد خلفنا في أهالينا بالمكروه ١٤٨١ -
