الحسن بن محمد بن عوف حدث عن العباس بن الوليد بن مزيد وجماعة سواه روى عنه الكلابي وغيره وصحف في اسم جده قرأت على أبي القاسم نصر الله بن احمد أنا جدي مقاتل أنا أبو علي الاهوازي اجازة قال قال عبد الوهاب الكلابي في تسمية شيوخه الذين سمع منهم حسن بن محمد بن عوف كذا قال وانما هو الحسن بن محمد بن برغوت وهو الحسن بن محمد بن احمد بن هشام بن جبلة وقد تقدم ذكره (١) ١٤٥٤ -
