حزيب بن مسعود بن عدي بن هذيم بن عدي ابن جناب الكلبي شاعر شهد المرج مع مروان ويقال محرز بن حزيب له ذكر قرأت على أبي محمد السلمي عن أبي نصر بن ماكولا قال (٢) واما حزيب بضم الحاء المهملة وفتح الزاي وآخره باء معجمة بواحدة فهو حزيب بن مسعود بن عدي بن هذيم بن عدي بن جناب الكلبي وهو الذي استنقذ مروان بن الحكم يوم المرج هو والحراق وقال غيره هو محرز بن حزيبذكر من اسمه حسان ١٢٦١ -
