    جموح بن عمر الفهمي شاعر وفد على معاوية انتهى أخبرنا أبو الحسين محمد بن كامل بن ديسم أنبانا أبو جعفر بن المسلمة في كتابه عن أبي عبيد الله محمد بن عمران بن موسى بن المرزبان (٢) قال الجموح بن عمرو (٣) الفهمي قدم على معاوية ومدحه بأبيات يشكو فيها من زياد ومنها فإن زيادا هو عث أديمكم (٤) * وأشامكم والشؤم ليس له نحب وتارككم في لعنة بعد نعمة * وداء الصحاح إن تقاربها الجرب (٥) فو الله لا ينهى زياد ورهطه * سوى أن يقولوا لا زياد ولا حرب * "ذكر من اسمه جميل " ١٠٧٢ -
