    أبان بن علي (٢) حكى عن أبي علي (٣) صالح بن خليفة الكوفي حكى عنه أحمد بن محمد التستري (٤) أخبرنا أبو بكر محمد بن أحمد بن الحسن البروجردي أنا أبو سعد علي بن عبد الله بن أبي صادق الحيري (٥) أنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله بن باكوية الشيرازي نا أبو العلاء أحمد بن محمد الزجاج قال سمعت أحمد بن محمد التستري قال سمعت أبان بن علي الدمشقي يقول سمعت صالح بن خليفة أبا علي الكوفي قال سمعت سفيان الثوري يقول إن فجار القراء اتخذوا سلما إلى الدنيا فقالوا ندخل على الأمراء نفرج عن مكروب ونكلم في محبوس روى ابن باكوية عن أبي العلاء هذا في موضع آخر فكناه أبا العباس والله تعالى أعلم ٣٤٤ -
