    ٦ - الحسن بن محمد بن الصباح الزعفرانى. أحد رواة القديم، قال الماوردى: هو أثبت رواته، ودرب الزعفرانى ببغداد ومنسوب إليه وفيه مسجد الشافعى، وكان صاحب "التنبيه" يدرس فيه. قال القاضى أبو حاتم المروزى: وكان الزعفرانى من أهل اللغة. روى له البخارى، مات سنة ستين ومائتين وقال ابن السمعانى في "الأنساب" سنة تسع وأربعين ومائتين.
