١٨٥٦ - فياض بن زهير: لم أعرفه، وأخشى أن يكون وقع في الأصل شيء من الخلط في إسناده. "الضعيفة" (١٤/ ٨٨١). قال الدريني: ترجمه ابن حبان في "الثقات" (٩/ ١١) فقال: "فياض بن زهير، من أهل نسا، يروي عن وكيع بن الجراح، وجعفر بن عون، ثنا عنه محمد بن أحمد بن أبي عون وغيره من شيوخنا، مات بعد سنة خمسين ومائتين". وجعله الشهري في "زوائد رجال صحيح ابن حبان" (٤/ ١٩٢٩ رقم ٤/ ٤٨٤) من الطبقة الرابعة، وهي من أخرج له ابن حبان وغيره ممن اشترطوا الصحة، وانظر "رجال الحاكم في المستدرك" (٢/ ١٢٨ رقم ١١٦١).
