سليمان بن عثمان الصدر الرئيس فخر الدين بن فخر الدين، ابن الشيخ الإمام صفي الدين أبي القاسم محمد بن عثمان البصروي. ولي حسبة دمشق وأقام فيها إلى أن عزل منها بابن الحداد في سابع ذي القعدة سنة أربع عشرة وسبع مئة، فأقام بدمشق مدة يسيرة أياماً قلائل. وتوفي في سابع عشري السهر المذكور، وحمل إلى بصرى ودفن بها. وكان قد توجه إلى الديار المصرية فتوفي بالبرية. وكان شاباً كريماً حسن الأخلاق.
