"صحيح سنن أبي داود" (٥/ ١١٣). وقال في "التعليقات الحسان" (١/ ٣٥٦): لم أعرفه، وليس في "الثقات". قال الدريني: وتعقبه الناشر بقوله: "بل هو فيه (٩/ ١٣٩) ". ترجمه الشهري في كتابه: "زوائد رجال صحيح ابن حبان" (٤/ ٢١٥٢)، وجعله من رواة المرتبة الثالثة، وهم من قيل فيه: صدوق، ولا بأس به، ونحو ذلك من الألفاظ مما هو دائر بين شرطي الصحيح والحسن، واللّه أعلم.
