محمد بن عيسى بن محمد ابن بقاء أبو عبد الله الأنصاري الأندلسي الثغري البلغي المقرئ أحد حفاظ القرآن المجودين، كان شيخاً فاضلاً، حافظاً للحكايات، قليل التكلف في الناس. خرج الناس إلى المصلى للاستسقاء فأنشد قصيدةً على المنبر أولها: من البسيط أستغفر الله من ذنبي وإن كبرا ... وأستقل له شكري وإن كثرا ولد في شعبان سنة أربعٍ وخمسين وأربع مئة، وتوفي سنة اثنتي عشرة وخمس مئة.
