عبد الوارث بن عبيد الله العتكي، المروزي. روى عن: ابن المبارك، ومسلم بن خالد الزنجي. وعنه: الترمذي، وإسحاق بن إبراهيم بن إسماعيل البستي، وعبد الله بن محمود المروزي، وأبو جعفر محمد بن عبد الله بن عروة الهروي، ومحمد بن علي بن حمزة المروزي. وقال ابن أبي حاتم: روى عن ابن المبارك الكثير. وذكره ابن حبان في «الثقات»، وقال: مات سنة تسع وثلاثين ومائتين.
