حبيش بن مبشر بن أحمد بن محمد الثقفي، أبو عبد الله الفقيه الطوسي، نزيل بغداد، وأخو جعفر المتكلم. روى عن: يونس المؤدب، ويزيد بن هارون، وعبد الله بن بكر السهمي، وغسان بن المفضل الغلابي، ووهب بن جرير بن حازم، وعلي ابن المديني، ويحيى بن معين. وعنه: ابن ماجه حديثا واحدا في النكاح، وأبو بكر القاضي المروزي، وابن صاعد، والباغندي، وابن مخلد، وعدة. قال الدارقطني: كان من الثقات. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. وقال الخطيب: كان فاضلا يعد من عقلاء البغداديين. مات في رمضان سنة (٢٥٨).
