إسماعيل بن بهرام بن يحيى الهمداني ثم الخبذعي الوشاء الكوفي. روى عن أبي أسامة، وعبيد الله الأشجعي، وعبد الرحمن المحاربي، ووكيع، وغيرهم. وعنه ابن ماجه، وإبراهيم بن عبد الله بن الجنيد، وبقي بن مخلد، وأبو داود في غير السنن، وعبد الله بن أحمد، وعبد الله بن زيدان، وأبو زرعة، ومحمد بن نصر المروزي، وابن الضريس، والحسن بن سفيان، وعبد الكريم الديرعاقولي، وجماعة. قال أبو حاتم: شيخ صدوق أتيته غير مرة فلم يقض لي السماع منه. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات، وقال يغرب. وقال ابن عساكر: مات سنة (٢٤١). قلت: وقال الذهبي في شيوخ الأئمة: روى عنه البخاري في الضعفاء بواسطة. • ق -
