    ١٥٨٥- حبيب بن ربيّعة «٢» : بالتشديد- السلمي، والد أبي عبد الرحمن، قال ابن حبّان: له صحبة. روى ابن مندة والخطيب من طريق وهب، عن زهير بن معاوية، عن أبي إسحاق، قال: قال عبد اللَّه بن حبيب أبو عبد الرحمن: كان أبي من أصحاب النبي ﷺ وشهد معه. روى الخطيب وأبو نعيم من طريق عطاء بن السائب، عن أبي عبد الرحمن: سمعت حذيفة يقول: إن المضمار اليوم والسباق غدا. فقلت لأبي: يا أبت، أتستبق الناس غدا؟ قال: إنما هو في الأعمال.
