(٢١٣٥) قيس بن السكن بن قيس (¬١) بن زعوراء بن حرام بن جندب ابن عامر بن غنم بن عدى بن النجار، أبو زيد الأنصاري الخزرجي، غلبت عليه كنيته. قال موسى عقبة، عن ابن شهاب: أبو زيد قيس بن السكن من بنى عدى بن النجار، شهد بدرا، ولا عقب له، وقتل يوم جسر أبى عبيد شهيدا. ويقال: إنه أحد الأربعة الذين جمعوا القرآن على عهد رسول الله ﷺ، وهم، زيد بن ثابت، ومعاذ بن جبل، وأبى بن كعب، وأبو زيد هذا. قال أبو عمر: إنا أريد بهذا الحديث الأنصار، وقد جمع القرآن على عهد رسول الله ﷺ جماعة منهم عثمان بن عفان، وعلى، وعبد الله بن مسعود، وعبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص، وسالم مولى أبى حذيفة ﵃.
