▸ expand full passage (670 chars)٢٢٣٤ - سهل بن عمار (¬٢٦٦) القاضي العلامة أبو يحيى العتكي النيسابوري الحنفي شيخ أهل الرأي بخرسان وقاضي هراة. ارتحل في الحديث وسمع من: يزيد بن هارون وشبابة بن سوار وجعفر بن عون وعبد الرحمن بن قيس والواقدي وعبيد الله بن موسى وعدة. حدث عنه: العباس بن حمزة وأبو يحيى البزاز وإبراهيم بن محمد ابن سفيان الفقيه ومحمد بن سليمان بن فارس وأحمد بن شعيب الفقيه ومحمد بن علي بن عمر المذكر وآخرون. قال الحاكم: قلت لمحمد بن صالح بن هانئ: لم لم تكتب عن سهل قال: كانوا يمنعون من السماع منه. وسمعت ابن الأخرم يقول: كنا نختلف إلى إبراهيم بن عبد الله السعدي وسهل بن عمار مطروح في سكته فلا نتقدم إليه. وعن إبراهيم السعدي أنه اتهم سهلاً.وقال الحاكم: مختلف في عدالته. توفي سنة سبع وستين ومئتين.
