حماد بن يحيى أبو يحيى السجلماسي، عداده في أهل القيروان. سمع عبد الله بن بكير السهمي، وابن الماجشون، وهو أول من قدم بفقه ابن الماجشون القيروان.قال محمد بن أحمد بن تميم: وقد سمع منه سحنون، وكان شيخا صالحا، تاجرا، وكان في كتبه تصحيف كثير، لم يكن يقوم بها، سمع منه عامة أصحاب سحنون. وكان له ابن اسمه حسن: روى عن أبيه، مات قديما، سمع من ابن بسطام.
