خطاب بن عثمان الطائي الفوزي، أبو عمر - ويقال: أبو عمرو - الحمصي. روى عن: محمد بن حمير، وعيسى بن يونس، وعبد العزيز بن أبان، وبقية، وإسماعيل بن عياش، وغيرهم. وعنه: البخاري، وروى له النسائي بواسطة عمران بن بكار، وسلمة بن أحمد بن سليم بن عثمان الفوزي، وأبو علي الحسن بن سميط البخاري، وإبراهيم الجوزجاني، ومحمد بن عوف الطائي، وإسماعيل سمويه، وغيرهم. قال ابن أبي الدنيا، عن القاسم بن هاشم: حدثني الخطاب بن عثمان الفوزي، وكان يعد من الأبدال. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات، وقال: ربما أخطأ. قلت: ووثقه الدارقطني. • د س -
