معاذ بن هانئ القيسي، ويقال: العيشي، ويقال: اليشكري، ويقال: البهراني، أبو هانئ البصري. روى عن: همام بن يحيى، ومحمد بن مسلم الطائفي، ومسلم بن خالد الزنجي، وحرب بن شداد، وحماد بن سلمة، وجهضم بن عبد الله اليمامي، وابن المبارك،وإبراهيم بن طهمان، وحرب بن سريج وعدة. وعنه: عمرو بن علي، وبندار، وأبو موسى، وعباس بن عبد العظيم العنبري، وأبو داود الحراني، وعبد الرحمن بن عمر بن شبة، وإبراهيم الجوزجاني، ومحمد بن يونس الكديمي، وآخرون. وقال النسائي: ثقة. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. وقال مطين: مات سنة تسع ومائتين. قلت: له في البخاري حديث واحد في صفة النبي ﵌. وقال ابن قانع: بصري صالح. • ع -
