    بشر بن عبيس بن مرحوم بن عبد العزيز بن مهران العطار البصري. مولى آل معاوية. سكن الحجاز. روى عن أبيه، وجده، ومروان بن معاوية، وحاتم بن إسماعيل، ويحيى بن سليم الطائفي، وغيرهم. وعنه البخاري، وإسماعيل القاضي، وأبو حاتم، ومحمد بن علي الصائغ، وغيرهم. قال ابن حبان في الثقات: روى عنه أبو زرعة والناس، ربما خالف. وقال غيره: مات سنة (٣٠)، وقيل سنة (٢٣٨). • د -
