٣٧٦ - علي بن سليمان الكلبي قال (١٠): لم أعرفه. قلت: هو أبو نوفل الكيساني، ترجم له ابن أبي حاتم في "الجرح والتعديل" (١١). وقال عن أبيه: الكيساني ما أرى بحديثه بأسًا، صالح الحديث، ليس بالمشهور.ونسبته للكيساني صحيحة، فمن انتسب لها ينسب للكلبي، كما ذكره السمعاني في "الأنساب" (١). وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (٢)، وكناه بأبي نوفل وقال: يغرب. وأورده النباتي في "الحافل" (٣)، وتعقبه الحافظ ابن حجر في "اللسان" (٣).
