    مخيس بن تميم أبو بكر الأشجعي روى عن حفص بن عمر، بسنده إلى ابن عمر، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: " الاقتصاد في النفقة نصف المعيشة، والتودد إلى الناس نصف العقل، وحسن السؤال نصف العلم ". عن أحمد بن الضحاك، قال: سمعت مخيس يقول: من ختم نهاره بالاستغفار صعد عمله مضيئاً وإن كان مسيئاً، ومن لم يختم نهاره بالاستغفار صعد عمله مظلماً وإن كان محسناً.
