شعيب بن رزيق أبو شيبة الشامي المقدسي سكن طرسوس. واجتاز بدمشق أو بأعمالها. حدث عن عطاء الخراساني قال: سمعت سعيد بن المسيب يقول: رأيت عثمان قاعداً في المقاعد، فدعا بطعام مما مسته النار فأكله، ثم قام إلى الصلاة فصلى ثم قال عثمان: قعدت مقعد رسول الله ﷺ وأكلت طعام رسول الله ﷺ وصليت صلاة رسول الله ﷺ. وحدث عنه عن المغيرة بن شعبة أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: " لا يتطوع الإمام في مقامه الذي صلى فيه وللناس فيه المكتوبة ". وحدث عنه بسنده عن بريدة قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: " احذروا كل مسكر، فإن كل مسكر حرام ".
