    ٥٥٠٤- عدي بن قيس بن حذافة السهمي «١» : ذكره ابن هشام في «مختصر السيرة» عمّن يثق به من أهل العلم، عن ابن شهاب، عن عبيد اللَّه، عن ابن عباس في تسمية من أعطاه النبيّ ﷺ من غنائم حنين. قال ابن إسحاق: وأعطى السهمي خمسين من الإبل. قال ابن هشام: اسمه عدي بن قيس، [وروى ابن مردويه من طريق بكر بن بكار، عن علي بن المبارك، عن يحيى بن أبي كثير في تسمية المؤلفة عديّ بن قيس] السهمي.
