سَالم بن صَالِح شَاعِرٌ من شُعَرَاءِ حَلَبَ، أو مَعَرَّة النُّعْمَان، فإنَّ الرَّشِيْد بن الزُّبَيْر المِصْرِيّ ذَكَرَهُ في كتابِ جنَان الجِنَانِ ورِيَاض الأذْهَان بين شُعَرَاءِ حَلَب ومَعَرَّة النُّعْمَان، وأوْرَدَ له هذه الَأبْيَات الحسَان: [من الطويل]وما أنا إلَّا المسكُ ظَلَّ لدَيْكُمُ … يَضِيع وعِندَ الأكْرَمِيْنَ يَضُوعُ وكالماءَ أمَّا في السِّبَاخِ فضَائعٌ … وَفي المَنْبَتِ الزَّاكِي حَيًا ورَبيْعُ وكالدُّرِّ في التِّيْجَانِ يُعْرَفُ قَدْره … ويَدْفِنُهُ تحتَ التُّرابِ مُضيْعُ وذُكِرَ لي أنَّ البَيْتَ الأوَّل يُرْوَى لمَسْكَوَيْه.
