٤١- خيثمة بن الحارث بن مالك بن كعب، أبو سعد بن خيثمة [٤] : كان أراد الخروج إلى بدر، فقال لابنه سعد: لا بد لي أو لك من أن يقيم أحدنافي أهله ونسائه، فقال ابنه: يا أبه لو كان غير الجنة لآثرتك به، ولكن ساهمني، فأينا خرج سهمه خرج مع رسول الله ﷺ إلى بدر، وأقام الآخر. فاستهما فخرج سهم سعد فخرج فاستشهد يومئذ، وكان أحد النقباء. وأقام خيثمة فلما كان يوم أحد خرج مع رسول الله ﷺ فقتل شهيدا .
