عمرو بن المهاجر بن أبي مسلم، واسمه دينار الأنصاري، أبو عبيد الدمشقي، مولى أسماء بنت زيد. رأى أنسا وواثلة. وروى عن: أبيه، وعمر بن عبد العزيز، وكان على شرطته، وعباس بن سالم اللخمي. روى عنه: أخوه محمد بن مهاجر، وعبد الله بن العلاء بن زبر، ويحيى بن حمزة الحضرمي، وإسماعيل بن عياش، وغيرهم. قال ابن معين، ودحيم، وأبو داود، وابن سعد، والعجلي: ثقة. وقال يعقوب بن سفيان: هو وأخوه ثقتان ولهما أحاديث كبار حسان. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. قال يحيى بن بكير: ولد سنة (٧٤) ومات سنة تسع وثلاثين ومائة. وفيها أرخه غير واحد. وقال ابن سعد: له حديث كثير، ومات وله أربع وسبعون سنة. • ع -
