سيار الأموي الدمشقي، مولى معاوية، ويقال: مولى خالد بن يزيد بن معاوية. روى عن: أبي الدرداء، وابن عباس، وأبي أمامة، وأبي إدريس الخولاني. وعنه: سليمان التيمي، وعبد الله بن بجير التيمي مولى لآل معاوية. وقال ابن حبان في الثقات: سيار بن عبد الله شامي، قدم البصرة فحدثهم بها. قلت: هكذا قال في أتباع التابعين لم يزد سوى أنه روى عن أبي إدريس، وأنه روى عنه سليمان التيمي، وساق له أثرا، وكان قد ذكره في التابعين، فقال: مولى خالد بن يزيد بن معاوية، روى عن: أبي الدرداء، وأبي أمامة، وعنه: سليمان التيمي. ولم نجد من سمى أباه عبد الله غير ابن حبان فينظر. • خ -
