١١٠١٦- جارية بنت عمرو بن المؤمل. كانت ممن يعذّب في اللَّه فاشتراها أبو بكر. ذكرها ابن سعد بعد أميمة بنت رقيقة، وقيل بريرة، مولاة عائشة، فقال: وليست هي بنت عمرو، إنما كانت أمّة لآل عمرو، فلعله كان فيه جارية بيت، بفتح الموحدة وسكون التحتانية، وهذا اللفظ يطلق على آل الرجل وعلى زوجته، فالمراد هاهنا الأول. والمعروف فيها جارية بني عمرو بن المؤمل، أو جارية بن عمرو بن المؤمل. وقد ظنها بعضهم رجلا، وصحّف، فقال: حارثة- بالمهملة والمثلثة. وباللَّه التوفيق.

٤٢٠١ - جارية بنت عمرو بن مؤمل. أسلمت بمكة قديما. وكانت ممن يعذب في الله. وكان عمر بن الخطاب قبل أن يسلم هو الذي يعذبها ليردها عن الإسلام فيعذبها حتى يفتر ثم يدعها ويقول: والله ما أدعك إلا سآمة. فتقول: كذلك يفعل بك ربك.
