المَبْحَثُ الرَّابِعُ: هِمَّتُهُ العَالِيَة فِي طَلَبِ العِلْم: قَالَ البَيْهَقِي: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْد الله الحافِظ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيد بن أَبِي بَكْر بن أَبِي عُثْمَان يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ابنَ خُزَيْمَةَ يَقُولُ - فِي حَدِيْثٍ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عُمَر بن مُحَمَّد بن بُجَيْر (٤) -: "لَوْ أَمْكَنَنِي أَنْ أَرْحَلَ إِلَي ابنِ بُجَيْر لَرَحَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ فِي هَذَا الحدِيث" (٥).
