٥١٠٠ - معتب بن الحمراء (¬٣) الخزاعي أبو عوف، وهو معتب بن عوف بن عمرو بن عامر بن الفضل بن عفيف بن كليب بن حُبشية بن سلول بن كعب ابن عمرو السلولي، وقيل: الخزاعي (¬٤). (بغ بر ند نع). حليف لبني مخزوم بن يقظة، شهد بدرا. قاله موسى وابن إسحاق وأبو معشر، ويعرف بابن حمراء، [٤٤٥] وكان من مهاجرة الحبشة. وقال موسى وأبو معشر: معتب بن حمراء، وذكراه فيمن شهد بدرا من بني كعب حلفاء بني مخزوم، ولا عقب له. قيل: إنه مات وهو ابن ثمان وسبعين. وقيل: توفي سنة سبع وخمسين وهو ابن ثمان وخمسين. قاله الطبري، وفي ذلك نظر.
