(ند نع فت). يعد في أعراب البصرة. روت عنه ابنته سُنينة. ابن منده: أنا محمد بن يعقوب النيسابوري ومحمد بن سعد الأبيوردي قالا:حدثنا عبد الله بن العباس نا عبد الرحمن بن عمرو بن جبلة حدثتنا حبة بنت الشماخ قالت: حدثتني سنينة بنت مخنف عن أبيها مخنف أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: يا مخنف صل رحمك يطل عمرك، وافعل الخير يكثر خير بيتك، واذكر الله ﷿ عند كل حجر ومدر يشهد لك يوم القيامة (¬١).
