٣٨٧٥ - عمر بن مالك بن عتبة بن وهيب (¬٤) بن عبد مناف بن زهرة (¬٥). (فت). ويقال فيه: عمر بن مالك بن عتبة بن نوفل بن عبد مناف، وعمر أكثر. كان مع سعد بالعراق وأمره عمر ﵁ على عسكر وأرسله لمحادة هيت، وكتب أيضا إلى سعد: أن وجه القعقاع بن عمرو في اثني عشر ألفا إلى جلولاء (¬٦) وأمر (¬٧) على ساقته عمر بن مالك. وأمره عمر على قرقيسياء وأعمالها. وهو مشهور بالغناء والنجدة في حرب العراق من قبل عمرو ومن سعد ومن قبل سائر العمال بها، ولعله الذي أمد به عمر أبا عبيدة الذي تقدم، والله أعلم.
