٣٧٤٦ - عقبة بن عامر بن عبس بن عمرو بن عدي الجهني (¬١). (خ ط ند نع بر بغ). من جهينة بن زيد بن سود بن أسلم بن عمرو بن الحاف بن قضاعة. وفي نسبه اختلاف، يكنى أبا حماد، وقيل: أبا أسيد، وقيل: أبو أسد، وقيل: أبو عمرو، وقيل: أبو عبس، وقيل: أبو سعاد، وقيل: أبو الأسود، وقيل: أبو عمار، وقيل: أبو عامر. سكن عقبة مصر وكان واليا عليها. روى عنه من الصحابة جابر وابن عباس وأبو أمامة ومسلمة بن مخلد وكثير من التابعين، وتوفي بمصر سنة ثمان وخمسين.
