٣٦٠١ - عتبة بن فرقد السلمي، أبو عبد الله (¬١). (خ ط ند نع بر بغ). من بني مازن. أمره عمر بن الخطاب على بعض فتوحات العراق. روى سليمان التيمي عن أبي عثمان النهدي قال: جاءنا كتاب عمر ونحن مع عتبة بن فرقد وينسبونه عتبة بن يربوع بن حبيب بن مالك، وهو فرقد بن أسعد بن رفاعة بن الحارث بن بهثة بن سُليم السلمي، ويقال: عتبة بن فرقد بن يربوع بن حبيب، والباقي مثله. كان عتبة هذا شريفا، وأولاده بالكوفة يقال لهم: الفراقدة. روى شعبة عن حصين عن امرأة عتبة بن فرقد أن عتبة غزا مع رسول الله غزوتين.
