(خ ط نع بر مو). جد الفرزدق الشاعر، روى عنه طفيل بن عمرو (¬٢) وابنه عقال بن صعصعة، وروى عنه الحسن وقال: حدثني صعصعة عم الفرزدق. كان صعصعة هذا من أشراف بني تميم ووجوه بني مجاشع، وكان في الجاهلية يفتدي الموءودات من بني تميم، فقال الفرزدق في ذلك: وجدي الذي منع الوائدات ... وأحيى الوئيد فلم توءد
