٢٢٦٢ - سلمة بن هشام بن المغيرة بن عبد الله بن عمر بن مخزوم القرشي المخزومي (¬٤). (ط ند نع بر). كان من مهاجرة الحبشة ومن خيار الصحابة وفضلائهم، كانوا خمسة إخوة: أبو جهل والحارث وسلمة والعاصي وخالد، قتل أبو جهل والعاصي ببدر، وأسر يومئذ خالد ثم فدي ومات كافرا، وأسلم الحارث وسلمة، وكانا من خيار المسلمين، وكان سلمة قديم الإسلام واحتبس بمكة وعذب في الله ﷿ وكان رسول الله ﷺ يدعو له في صلاته ولغيره من المستضعفين بمكة، ولم يشهد سلمة بدرا لما ذكرنا،وقتل بمرج الصفر سنة أربع عشرة في خلافة عمر، وقيل: قتل بأجنادين سنة ثلاث عشرة في جمادى الأولى قبل موت أبي بكر بأربع وعشرين ليلة، ﵀ ورضي عنه.
