(مو). أورده ابن ياسين في تاريخ هراة وقال: له ولأبيه وأخيه صحبة، دخل هراة، وأورده أبو زكرياء بن منده في باب الحاء المهملة وأعجمه بالشين المعجمة في غير موضع، وفي الأسامي إنما يجيء حسحاس أو خشخاش.حديثه عند أولاده، روى عيسى بن الحسحاس عن أبيه الحسحاس ﵁ قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: ليس منا أحد إلا وله منزلان: أحدهما في الجنة، وذلك قول الله تعالى: ﴿أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ (١٠)﴾ المؤمنون: ١٠، الحديث بطوله (¬١).
