٩٢١ - محمد بن عبد الله بن مسلم ابن أخي ابن شهاب الزهري (١) يروي عن عمه، روى عنه الدراوردي ومعن بن عيسى، مات سنة سبعوخمسين ومئة، وكان رديء الحفظ كثير الوهم، يخطىء عن عمه في الروايات ويخالفه فيما روى عنه الأثبات، فلا يجوز الاحتجاج به إذا انفرد، وإني سأذكر قصته وما خالف الأثبات من حديث عمه في كتاب الفصل بين النقلة إن قضى الله ﷿ ذلك وشاءه، ولم ينصف من ترك حماد بن سلمة وسماك بن حرب وداود بن أبي هند، واحتج بابن أخي الزهري وعبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن دينار، وإنا سنتكلم على هذا الفصل عند ذكرى كل واحد منهم في ذلك الكتاب إن وفق الله ﷿ لذلك وأراده.
