٥٢٩ - عبد الله بن كثير بن جعفر ابن أخي إسماعيل بن جعفر (٤) يروي عن المدنيين، عداده في أهل المدينة، روى عنه أهلها، كانقليل الحديث كثير التخليط فيما يروي، لا يحتج به إلا فيما وافق الثقات. حدثنا الحنبلي، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن زهير، قال: سئل يحيى بن معين عن عبد الله بن كثير بن جعفر؟ فقال: شيخ كان جالسنا في المسجد صاحب معميات ليس بشيء.
