    ٢٩٠ - حُسام بن المُصَكّ بن ظالم (٢) الذي يقال له: ابن شيطان، من أهل البصرة، كنيته أبو سهل، يروي عن أبي معشر وقتادة، روى عنه وكيع وابن المبارك، كان كثير الخطأ فاحش الوهم حتى خرج عن حد الاحتجاج به. أخبرنا الهمداني، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن علي، قال: كان عبد الرحمن لا يحدث عن حسام بن المصك، وكان أبو داود يقول: حدثنا أبو سهل الأزدي، وهو حسام بن المصك. سمعت لمحمد بن محمود، يقول: سمعت الدارمي، يقول: سألت يحيى بن معين عن حسام بن المصك؟ فقال: ليس بشيء. حدثنا محمد بن محمود بن عدي بنسا، قال: سمعت علي بن سعيد بن حرب، يقول: سمعت أحمد بن حنبل يقول: وسئل عن حسام بن المصك، قال: أرى الناس قد تركوا حديثه.
