    ٣٥٦٨ - المسلميّ الشاعر (١) [٢٢٩ أ] محمد بن يزيد بن مسلمة بن عبد الملك بن مروان بن الحكم بن أبي العاص، أبو بكر، الأمويّ، الحصنيّ، الشاعر، المعروف بالمسلميّ، نسبة إلى جدّه مسلمة بن عبد الملك. وقيل فيه: محمد بن يزيد بن محمد بن مسلمة. وقيل: محمد بن يزيد بن عبّاس بن مسلمة. شاعر محسن، مدح المأمون، وهجا عبد الله ابن طاهر بقصيدته التي افتخر بها، فلمّا قدم ابن طاهر الشام قصده فلم يهرب منه- وكان ينزل حصن مسلمة بديار مضر- بل استسلم إليه، فعفا عنه. ولحقه إلى مصر فاجتاز بدمشق، ولم يفارقه إلى أن رجع ابن طاهر إلى العراق، فانصرف عنه.
