    ٣٤٢١ - علاء الدين الجوهري [٦٦٦ - ٧٣٦] (٣) [١٦٦ أ] محمد بن نصر الله بن محمد بن عبد الوهّاب، علاء الدين، الجوهريّ، الفقيه، المالكيّ. تفقّه على مذهب مالك وناب عن القضاة المالكيّة في الحكم بالقاهرة، عن قاضي القضاة تقيّ الدين محمد الإخنائي، ودرّس بالجامع الحاكميّ. وترشّح لولاية قضاء القضاة. وولي نظر خزانة الخاصّ في الأيّام الناصريّة محمد بن قلاوون عوضا عن شمس الدين موسى ابن التاج إسحاق، المنتقل لنظر الخاصّ.وكانت له صولة في الحكم وشهرة ورئاسة حتى مات بالقاهرة في ليلة تاسوعاء (١) سنة ستّ وثلاثين وسبعمائة، ودفن بالقرافة وقد جاوز سبعين سنة. وكان فقيها ديّنا عارفا بعبارة الرؤيا.
