٢٨٩٠ - شمس الدين الرهاويّ الكاتب [٦٥٣ - ٧٢٤] (٣) محمد بن عمر بن إلياس بن الخضر، شمس الدين، أبو عبد الله، ابن جمال الدين، الرهاوي، الدمشقيّ. ولد ليلة الخميس تاسع عشرين صفر سنة ثلاث وخمسين وستّمائة. وقدم القاهرة سنة اثنتين وستّين، وسمع بها صحيح مسلم على الرضيّ ابن البرهان، وسمع من أبي اليسر والصيرفيّ وجماعة. وشهد على الحكّام وعمل السمسرة بقيسريّة الشرب (٤) بالقاهرة، وخدم في الجهات الديوانيّة. ثمّ ترك ذلك كلّه. وكان عدلا أمينا، فيه الخير، محبّا لأهل الصلاح. مات بدمشق يوم الأحد ثامن رجب سنة أربع وعشرين وسبعمائة.
