٢٨١٨ - أبو المعالي البالسيّ [٦٣٨ - ٧١١] (٤) محمد بن علي بن محمد بن عليّ بن عليّ بن منصور بن مؤمّل بن محمد، أبو المعالي، ابن أبي الحسن، ابن أبي المعالي، البالسيّ، ثمّ الدمشقيّ. قدم مصر وحدّث بها. وكان أبوه قد أحضره على جماعة من أصحاب أبي القاسم بن عساكر. وسمع على جماعة، منهم كريمة بنت عبد الوهّاب القرشيّة. وكان معدّلا. ولد يوم الاثنين رابع عشر صفر- وقيل في ذي القعدة- سنة ثمان وثلاثين وستّمائة. ومات بدمشق يوم الأربعاء نصف جمادى الأولى سنة إحدى عشرة وسبعمائة، وانقطع بموته قطعة من الرواية.
