    ٢٧٦٧ - ابن ظونة الشنتمريّ [- ٥٢٨] [١٣٦ ب] محمد بن عليّ بن ظنة- ويقال: ظونة، ويقال: دونه- وقد تكتب بواو بين الظاء والنون، وقد يقال: ذونه بذال معجمة، وهو اسم روميّ معناه: سيّد- أبو عبد الله، السهميّ، الأندلسيّ، الشنتمريّ. روى عن أبي الفضل جعفر بن محمد بن يوسف الأعلم، وأحمد بن عبد العزيز بن غزوان. قال السلفيّ: من أهل الأدب البارع، والشعر الرائع، قدم الثغر، وكتب عنّي من الحديث جملة صالحة. وله إليّ قصائد ومقطّعات. وحجّ وكتب بمكّة، وكان من أذكى الناس. توفّي وقت توجّهه إلى المغرب قبل وصوله إلى وطنه، وقد علّقت عنه، في سنة ثمان وعشرين وخمسمائة.
